Bought a New toy It is a Ford and a Big one at that..lol...It an 03 Excursion 6.0 turbo diesel...and yes it has all the upgraded stuff to keep it alive and well...it also has a 4-1/2 lift. 35 inch tires...4 inch turbo exhaust with a 6 inch tip..upgraded inter cooler,Bank intake,volant coald air intake,SCT tuner, this truck hauls. it makes just a little boost...lol over 30 psi. I always wanted one...so I got it...lol

Yeah it is big we have 4 dogs and going to be picking up our 5th in 3 weeks..so we need a lot of room to haul them places...Plus I always loved they way these look..

Nah its not that bad on Fuel...it has a 44 gallon tank tho..it gets around 18-20 on the highway 15 city and that's with the 35 ich tires with the stock tire they get even better gas mileage...

I owned a PSD with a 6.0 and 35's It NEVER got 20 MPG and your Ex is much heavier...

With a economy tune they do..right now I'm getting 15s city not bad better then my mustang right now..lol

Mine had exhaust and a tune and i got 17-18 on the highway and about 13 in town. It makes no difference really, I am pretty sure you knew that beast was not a fuel sipper.

When I was in high school my friends dad got one when they first came out. If I remember right it was the V10 though. The V10 didn't make it. Was it that crappy?

Looks sweet. Dont worry about the fuel economy, my winter truck is a carbed 351W powered Ranger. Im happy with my 14 mph average, and that is AFTER I put AODE in it.

Well I have a 98 GMC suburban that's get 11 mpg at best..that why I got this...it should be at least a little better then the Burb...but I don't really care about mpg none of our cars that we have get good fuel mileage anyways...lol

pretty much what my 99 exploder gets mpg wise. nice score.

Look to see if the head bolts have been replaced with studs.

Look to see if the EGR upgrade has been done.

Do research on both.

The 03 had one other issue that others did not but I cannot recall what it was. Only the earlier 6.0 diesels had this problem (a year and a half or so after the swap). It escapes me what it was though.

Other than that, bullet proof.
