I am thinking about selling/trading the stang.

I never drive it, and it has only had about 4 miles, yes only 4, since I put it all together. It runs like a beast, but I dont get to enjoy it. I want something I can drive everyday.

I spent about $13,000 last year alone on it.

I KNOW I will not get what I have in it out of it, but it is easily over 25K at this point. What does everyone think a fair price to list it as/trade for.

I AM VERY OPEN TO TRADES. I am hoping to find a newer GT/Mach/Bullit/Cobra.

I know what you mean by never driving it, reason why I just sold mine.

I would say, as a conservative guess, b/w $12k-15k or so.

Thanks, Thats the range I thought too...the trouble is, if someone is WILLING to pay that much...especially with the way the economy is.

That is the biggest factor, if someone is willing to pay that much.

Maybe you could go to a couple of local shows or race tracks and "show" the car is worth that much.

That would be sweet...I am a little more realistic though...I can always hope...

I would trade this car straight up for a nice 02-04 GT, Mach, or 94-up Cobra in good condition worth about the same.

I figure if I can find another car guy, in the same predicament that wants a race car but doesnt have the time, money, or will to cut up their nice car, we could make a trade.

Any one know any one like that?

not streetable huh? i was going to say, "just drive it more"

i'd be really bummed it i put all that money and effort into a car and made it such a beast, only to find that i didn't like driving it.

what is not streetable, and how about making it streetable to you can enjoy it?

that was one of my major worries with my build. i have been very careful to make it something i can just hop into and zip up to the grocery store or whatever. so far, so good, but i need like another 5 grand to complete it ...

Its not that it is not streetable...It is actually VERY nice on the street...Idles perfect, starts up EVERY time even after sitting a few weeks.

I dont drive it because I live about 100 miles from it. It is parked covered at my parents house. Because of the strict emissions laws...I have to get "creative" on how to register it. I dont have a garage where I am either. I dont want little parts disappearing off of it (or the whole thing disappearing) in the middle of the night. Not having a garage also means I cant work on it.

So basically, it is a pile of money parked 100 miles away in my parents back yard

That was an important factor on building mine up, I still wanted something I can enjoy driving anywhere. I had not driven it for a few wks b/c of not going to the track but I cleaned the interior yesterday and took it for a spin around town. While at a light the guy in the car next to me asked what was in it and what kind of exhaust it had b/c he said it sounded really good. I was just sitting at the light but it does have a pretty lopey idle

oh, ok. so it's more of an emissions thing then? because if you had it or, say an 03 mach, where you are ... would it be more likely to disappear than the mach would be?

then again, maybe that is your solution ... insure it for $20000 and let it walk. j/k

Its just that my car's parts would be easier to steal, especially me not being around all day while at work. (the hood has deezus fasteners.

A mach or GT wouldnt be a problem because I would probably drive it alot and it wouldnt get as much attention everytime I started it or moved or drove it. My car would be like a magnent. It is VERY safe where I live, But I dont feel comfortable leaving it alone...ANYWHERE.

I have my moms 03 GT now and it just blends in. My car wouldnt blend well.
