14 seconds looks very leisurely compared to Farmtruck. Even if Street Outlaws is half scripted or the races fixed (I do no know), this is a dose of reality of how much money they must have in their race cars to possibly spin good tires all the way down the improvised track. I hope you enjoyed the runs, no matter the speed.
After I move, I will be across town from a real drag strip! It has been a LONG time since I got to one. I hope I can at least match the time slips that were left in the owners manual. If not, I will take my old sedan with and automatic, 6 cylinder with 80 HP to a bracket race. It probably runs 21 seconds in the 1/4 mile. I will be so far down the track that the other drivers will get wound up, redlight or break out!

Well in comparison to the farm truck it does look extemely slow haha. Though camera angle has a lot to do with and probably 5 seconds of difference too.

Yeah I'm not trying to be the fastest, just having some fun with the best I got.

It was just gratifying to beat a 95 Cobra with bolt ons. Both cases by putting lengths on him and the other runnning him down.

The guy had a lot of nice parts, but all show no go (given his car was much heavier). The wife put together this motor from left over junkyard parts and in a burnt chassis and we have beat on it probably 16 passes and it has held up and drove an hour home in four outings.

Hope you have a blast driving your car when you move. What is it suppose to run?

Buddy of mine races two vehicles. A tube chassis 80's camaro and....his daily driven Chrysler minivan lol. It sucks having to bracket race against that minivan.

The slips that came in the glovebox are packed up, but I remember the 1/4 calculators spit out 325 to 350 Hp on the best runs. The parts had been ported absolutely as much as they could be and still look stock on the outside, plus stuff like a cam and roller rockers. I have made it all run smoothly on the street (thanks @jrichker and others!), and matched the intake opening with a bigger egr and whistling throttle body. So I am excited to see if I can get traction without breaking the T-5.
I am saving the Tmoss ported Explorer intake for new heads.

Have fun driving what you have. To me, it is more fun than the show circuit.
