Not road racing:Is Global West overkill?

Back to ravv's post.............

You don't have to get the tubular control arms. There have been discusions in the past on their durability. Some swear them to be rock solid and I've heard of part failure from some of the manufact. tubular arms.

I went with the modified, reinforced stock style arms. They are heavier, but imo seem much more durable.

Biggest perk is that they were considerably cheaper.

are you putting thier stuff on your 65' soon, is that what im reading?

Jason

It all depends on how much money I can put together. They said the new kit for the 65 is about $3500.00!! I will need to sell what I have now which is the G-W modification to the stock upper arm with Konis, Quickor and stock disc brakes.
The guys at G-W said the new kit has stabilizer bars, a full lower arm with no forward strut rod and I think they said it has the spindle. If that is the case I will sell what I have and put 13" 6-piston Wilwoods on the front and avoid having to go with a power brake set-up.
I also will need to sell my stock power steering unit to help pay for a Unisteer rack-and-pinion.
I have Konis, Traction-Master under rides, Qucikor 3/4" rear bar out back and I may put the Heidts 4-link back there.
