okay, there's a mustang junkyard a couple miles from my house and i went to visit them yesterday. they had a couple of WRECKED 99-04 v6's that i had my eye on (both for a 5 lug conversion/rear disc swap and for the 3g)

i was just wondering if anyone knew what amperage the v6's of those years came with, id like to get a 130 or at least a 105, because a 95 is still a littlw low for my eventual plans. although i could just get it and if it isn't enough later on just swap out the alternator, everything else would be done already.

i looked but i don't think there's any identifying information that would tell teh rating on the case of the alternator

any help is appreciated

Hey bud - I know I couldnt tell ya. If you need to know fast, I would hit the New Edge or V6 sub-forum.

Sometimes parts store sites will list the amperage of the alt when you look up a given year, make and model.

Good luck.

Hey now - I always thought that was a bad emoticon (the little guy looks kinda retaaawdit).

With the alternator stuff, I only know because I have looked on the local parts store sites when comparing alts for other cars. Not that said info should be trusted 100%, but it seems to be pretty accurate.

Good luck.
