yea I dunno if it's like this everywhere but in Florida especially on the interstate RIGHT when it starts raining the roads are like ice...I dunno if it was hydroplaning like on the surface of a puddle or whatever.
They are some knock off tires called Sceptor I think.
The oil and stuff on the roads rears its ugly head when water is added. Here, in Oregon, it rains all winter. Don't snow much where I live, just rains. And my car, feels great at 70 on curvy roads in the rain. Very receptive to aqua planing. I have Michelin Pilots on my car. They handle very well in the dry and in the rain.

And did you expect Traction Control to help you in this instance? It's not Stability Control, it's simply Traction Control. You obviously pitched the car slideways and TC won't help at all with that.
Nonetheless, I feel for ya bro...yeah, driving in FL, especially if it hasn't rained it quite some time, then it rains and brings the oil to the surface for your pleasure, it makes for a fun ride...
