not your normal U/D pulley question??

I've been having a really hard time getting a belt to fit since i took out the smog pump and ended up finding one that would fit but only if I run the Underdrive Pulley on the Crank(smaller than stock) and the stock pulley on the water pump (smaller than U/D one).

Will this cause damage to my Water Pump by over reving it? If so then i guess I will keep looking for another belt.

i wouldnt imagine it would its not going to be turning a ton faster just slightly

If you know the sizes of all 4 pullies we can tell you how much you are over or underdriving the WP...

well, i've been thinking about it and if i'm correct in my thinking, the water pump is still going to be turning slower than if i had the stock (larger) crank pulley so i think this should work just fine.

If anyone disagrees please let me know.

Yea, if you are only runninig an u/d pulley on the crank, and stock one on the WP, then it you wont be over-revving the WP, it will be turning slightly slower than stock...
