now i have a real quandry

I now know why the transmission shifts so well, and the clutch is so stiff. . it has a short throw shifter in it!! this led me to look at the engine a little closer.
New throttle body sensors and MAS sensor, new steering pump and a couple other things. . it appears that this car was at one time modded and then put back just before being sold. the quandry is, how can i tell if anything has been dont to the motor internally, or if it has differant heads. . oh ya. . one other thing, when i start the car its ok, but after a couple minutes the "Check Engine" idiot lite comes one. any have a guess? i will need to get that fixed before i can get it thru emissions.

You're going to have to open her up and check part #'s to really know. For the CE light stroll on over to autozone and have them scan for codes.

First find out of the heads are aluminum or iron.

Second, pull the plugs and see if they are the same size as stock.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could pull the header on either side and see if the heads have any stampings or casting numbers in the spark plug areas.
