Well my car is at the body shop, 1) the place almost burnt down 2) Since the roof is made of wood in the old shop, the guy's insurance doesn't want anything to do with him and because of this the owner of the building cut the power to the body shop. I gave only 1200 bucks for a deposit to the bodyshop guy and I'm praying I won't loose this money. He is currently looking for another building to rent and finish the jobs he's working on.

NOW if the chit hits the fan and I loose some cash over this, F|_|CK it. I'm going to get rid of all my fox body parts and buy a F|_|CKING 2005 Mustang! I got 5 grand I can use for a cash down on a new car. I'm so pissed off right now it's taking everything for me to not go and get another car (nice yellow one for sale here). IT's the auto-insurance that's actually holding me down because I don't want to pay those crooks 2300 a year for insurance.

Mad or depressed .. . hmmm ???? You'll be both. Unless you know this guy ... I bet he takes off with what he's got and starts over somewhere's else ... in which case get MAD. Then get depressed selling you Fox stuff and making $2300/year payments to Belair !!! Sounds rough man ... hope it works out and I end up wrong. Haven't met too many body guys I trust.

Bummer....were it me, as much as I don't generally like the look of the '05's, I'd probably sell off the fox and it's parts, plop down the cash and put my troubles behind me. And $2,500.00 a year for insurance .....OMG, how old are you dude?

I just talked to the guy, I paid cash yes but I printed up a paper where he signed proving I paid him a deposit with details of the job to be done.

he's moving this weekend to a new place which is real close to my dad's home. I offered to help him move his stuff (to make sure they don't wreck the car on the towing). I also got some pertinant info about him if anything happens - which I doubt now.

I get mad quickly these days since I've got a lot of crap on my plate and the rain isn't helping lol sorry

Usually in life, damn i m being poetic here :p , you always get what you paid for.
If i choose to pay cash for something, i need to get what i paid for right now.
exemple: i had to have my pool leveled by 2 inch. Hired 2 fellows workers, they did the job, i was there, pay them that s it :nice:

Boss351, was there a red 88 camaro where you took your car for a paint job??

Nope, the guy is a 2nd cousin and a good friend of one of my cousins. I'm being patient but when the rain stops one day - I'll be panting for my car lol

Update: Well things aren't going well. I go visit him and find him doing some other car while I paid about 80% upfront to get mine done. I'm checking out other paint shops that can finish the job and I put some pressure on him to either give my money back or finish the job! I got so much info on him that he could be sent to jail if need be. So he shouldn't mess with me.

I'd like a 2005 but not having payments is fun and I'd like it to stay that way. However, the way things are going I'd take the 800 a month in payments (with insurance) over having problems.

I took ANOTHER day off and push his fat ass around! I don't care if he did 6 years of kick-boxing and is twice as strong as I am. I'm just a skinny 145lb guy but crazy enough to hide on a roof and shoot at people lol

He didn't even take time off to eat at noon today lol. The rear of my car is 100% done and all is needed is to sand the front end now. The other car that got me pissed off is almost done now (base-coat done). I'd rather see him paint mine but what can I do, I can't kick his face in without me ending up in jail so I pushed him to work faster on the other job.

Saturday morning we are going to finish my car (door jams, under the hood, hatch area all painted) so that Sunday night he can paint the rest of the car.

After thinking about it, I won't do the blue pearl, I want a real deep black, real gloss finish. There will be about 5 coats of paint on my car once done.

Another update: well most of the car is done now, he painted the engine bay, under the hood and hatch area. It's looking good, a light at the end of the tunnel for once. The paint has a real deep gloss to it, very interesting.

I'm just hoping nothing else will go wrong and it gets painted Tuesday.

Update: Well it's Thursday and he started to paint the rest of the car. It's real nasty, very shiny but not a very nice paint job. Polish a turd and it will still stink. He will be redoing the hood and spoiler and maybe part of the hatch. I have yet to see the body. I hope it will be a nice job. So far though I "think" a good wet sanding job will take care of it. He did some wet sanding but the paint is still a little fresh but I will come back once the engine is in the car.

Oh well, this really sucks.
