Now the crank pulley?

OK, I am back again, I got off the old stock crank pulley and installed the under drive pulley, finger tightened them and tried to put a socket over it but not enough damn room between the bolt and side of pulley for the socket to fit. What a pian in the a&%! Now I need some ideas to get this to work. I really don't want to go to pep boys right now................
any ideas would be great!

I've since removed and sold my underdrives to solve the overheating and charging issues they caused on mine - but - mine came with special bolts that had very small heads which allowed you to get a socket on them. Kind of like the special header bolts. I've also seen them with Allen head bolts on them. I think it's gonna take a special bolt head, or a 'crow's foot' wrench - offset open-end wrench, it's kind of hard to describe.

Ummmmm, smaller socket, or wrench. Not much else you can do unless you want to take a trip to Pep Boys for a set of allen head bolts?

I figured I would have to go to the store and get some new ones. But I was looking at the stock bolys and they have a wierd looking top to them, are they special bolts (stronger?) then regular bolts?

Mine also came with bolts for the crank pulley.

Mine came with 4 allen head bolts but they seem to big to fit in the bolt hole. I will try again tomm. to see if they fit.

Well I got in touch with the maker and he said he will be mailing me the correct bolts soon...............I doubt I can wait, will be going to PEP boys here real soon today...............

You can just use some old header bolts...those work great.

Be certain you use a quality fastener - the pulley takes quite a bit of force from the serpentine belt, and it's constantly moving. If you've ever seen a pulley come off, it can make quite a mess. I'd by Grade 8 allen head fasteners if I was in the same dilemma.
