alright, yet another problem: my 95 GT is missing, you can hear it when you drive around.
I think it's the number 5. I changed all the plugs and 5 was fouled up and jet black. So, I changed them all, then take it for a drive. After I took out the no. 5 plug and it is wet and smells like fuel.
I checked everything and even switched wires, nothing.
any ideas, guys??? bad injector maybe? I dont know, but I need to get it runnning before christmas break ends.
Thank you!

Check for consisitant spark on that cylinder.

Put a noid light on that injector to see if the ground wire to it got pinched and is keeping it open. To test for it being stuck, you would have to remove it (using any method I know).

Good luck.

the mechanic said that it's a burnt piston

so, the whole engine is actually shot.

So, now I think i will either sell as is or stick in a rebuilt 'gine and sell it. I'll think about it.

i was told that this happened because of pinging/pre-ignition. is that possible? when my father drove my car he always put 87 octane in it.

Hmm, interesting diagnostics. Um, did you check for injector pulsing yourself, because I am not so sure I would sign off on that (at least not based upon what is posted on this thread).

Good luck.

oh yeah i forgot. I checked everything on that injector. it checked out fine. pulled it out and broke it while doing so. so i replaced it. no luck. replaced wires, cap ,rotor, and some other part used for ignition (some sensor thing, i forget). nothing. so then i took it to the mechanic. he's probably correct, I cant imagine it being anything else other than mechanical.
