This was my third time to the track with the '06. This was the Northern VA Mustang Club's Drag Day(four hour private rental). The only mods I've done to the car since last Septmeber are the Nitto NT555s, different wheels and lowering springs. I put my car on a diet again as I stripped out the pass. seat, all the back seat, Shaker1000 subs/amps and the trunk liner/spare and jack.
The Nittos didn't do me much good off the line, but only chirped going into 2nd and 3rd whereas last year, the KDWSs spun too much into 2nd and kicked into 3rd. The chart below shows the last time I was at the track and this time. The color codes mean I used the same tuner settings for each group of runs. The last group(green), I used the parking brake while stageing which allowed me to raise the RPMs to 2000 and not brake the back tires lose. It didn't help me much as I couldn't get the release right and not spin too much out of the hole(might as well been a clutch
). The only area I really made a signifigant gain was my overall MPH(+1.38). I don't know when I'll get back to the track this year(hopefully out west in Sept
), but I know I now need the sticky track tires to hopefully lower my 60' by several tenths and put me solidly in the 12s. I had an absolute blast as I made 16 passes and got to see some FAST cars as well

(I was done snapping and was racing by the time she showed up).
I was able to click off five 1.9X 60's in a row however. The suspension was very noticeable over last year. There was hardly any body squat on launch or shifts(which probably hurt the times). Also my front grill being totaly open compared to last year having the OEM grill acting as an even larger wind catcher couldn't have helped at the big end.
