Said it before, I'll say it again. I'd rather have that than a actual size Eleanor. Unless its the original Eleanor of course. Grabber orange goodness

Hey look! It's Roger Rabbit's Eleanor!

Seriously, that's the perfect car-toon character! Bet it shows up on "Dora the Explorer" before the year is out.

You know, I always thought golf was a tremendous waste of time and real estate; but I might be convinced to take up the game if that was to be my golf cart

Excellent idea

That's from SEMA 2004 or 2005. I remember posting it here before I disappeared from Stangnet for a while. It was displayed in a "box" that made it look like a toy package.

THIS IS AN OFFICIAL STANGNET CLASSIC TALK THREAD-JACK

And not just any thread-jack; but a new frontier in bad posting ettiquete!

We've all been known to "cross-post" or reference other threads while posting an some particular thread: today; I'm testing new boundaries (at least for me; who knows what weird things Pak and Cheapie have done)....

Responding to a post in an entirely different Forum!

We should be doing the final fit on the driver's quarter skin this weekend and gluing/welding (needs to be welded in certain places per the instructions) it on (the outerwheel house is all welded in finally). Repop parts leave A LOT to be desired when it comes to fit, let me tell you!
At least you can get repop sheetmetal for your Mach. I just found out (in another thread "over there") that I have even one less piece of replacement sheetmetal available! Turns out the outer wheel houses do not cross between Mustangs and Cougars in 71-73. I'll have to section the new Mustang outer tub and insert some straigh pieces to elongate it to match the "not perfectly round" Cougar wheelhouse. This is while I'm looking for a good clean driver's lower quarter-skin..... in a wrecking yard 'cause nobody repops outer skins for the 71-73 Cougars! At least the front inner fender panels are claimed to be identical for Stangs and Cougs of that era (until I find out otherwise )

EDIT: I want to add subframe connectors as well - But I can't find any for 71-73 that makes reliable claims that they'll fit the longer Cougar chassis.

I'll have to dig around for the a picture - although the last one that I took is already up in MustanGurl2659's "Post Pictures of Your Mustangs" thread. There are others - even stored on one or more my computer's - but they're property of the previous owner.

Ack! I've been hijacked!

Ok, a one thing-Eleanor wasn't orange, she was yellow (to whomever said grabber orange goodness). Granted, it was infa mustardy, but it was yellow. We're going with the actual 73 color-meduim bright yellow.

SD, They didn't make much repop for the big bodies when we started either. Somewhere along the way they got popular-there's a bunch around us now I've never seen before. Either they migrated here from the south or people were waiting on parts availablity!

We get 99% of our panels, etc from ohio mustang supply. He seems to know what fits what from Cougar to Stang/visa versa, and when we found him on ebay a few years ago he was specializing in the big bodies. Might want to check him out www.ohiomustang.com his name's Don. We gotta get a few more things from him now too.

I really need to update Eleanors Cardomain site and post up the progress, but that shop's been getting the better of me lately (I'm taking a break from it now, lol-but it's open in another window!).

Just ordered a motor (347 stroker-we even get a vid of the assembly & dyno run), tranny should be coming back with a friend who picked one up for us at the drags out of town, found the cage but need to order it. Have to do photography at a wedding tomorrow, will hopefully be able to do final fit and maybe even weld/glue on the skin sunday. I'm thinking exhaust turndowns for this year...

Well, I better finish what I'm doing and get some sleep-it's almost midnight, can't dissapoint the bride with crappy too tired to shoot beautiful pics stuff tomorrow!!

You think you were tired today?

I'd bet I'll have you beat in the "Wanna Sleep on the Job" contest before sundown tonight (Saturday). Last night our minor league Scorpions baseball team hosted "Scout Night" at the ball park. After a see-saw 20-10 game (and yes, our team beat Reno, again); quite a few Scout units spent the night camping in the outfield. My Scout Troop wasn't interested (spent last weekend on Fiesta Island in Sandy Eggo, CA); but my son Matt's previous Cub Pack went and they invited him along. Game ended at 10:30 PM, kids played on the field 'til ??:??; but I finally crawled in my sleeping bag and died about 1:30. Been home for about 10 minutes, and now I have 15 minutes to get into work clothes and off to another fun-filled workday!

Gotta Go!

you still up? cause I am! finally signed off about midnight last night, up at 6:30, worked on shop and sprayed some primer on the wheel house. Went to wedding, followed by reception (I *HATE* doing wedding photography, btw), came home and began working on shop. it's now 12:15 est and i'm prolly going to be up until about 1. then back up by 8 tomorrow to get some real work done on the mach...and off to work on moday...I think I recall why I started refering to this resto as "project sleep depravation"...

Yeah, I'm up -sorta. Got home from work -even slipped in a little OT to get tomorrows DSL trouble tickets so hopefully I won't get called in - and sat down on the couch with my laptop at about 5:30. Finally woke up at 8:30 with drool almost on the keyboard; and was told to get my supper out of the oven. Right now I can't tell if I'm refreshed from my "power nap" or just about ready to go to bed EDIT: About the time you typed your last post I was either looking at "Gear for Gearheads" or some post on MC.net

At least the lllllllllapttttopppp keyyyyyyyyboardddd sssssssssseems to be doing okaaaaayyyyyyyyyy.
