the reason for this radom post , i have the O/R h and no mufflers (wich I got pulled over for yesterday, damn NOISE nazzies) but i have the magnaflows in the garage.. ? do they sound good with that pipe or are they too quite..? Im looking for that crazy 60's rumble but I dont have the money right now to buy a whole new set of mufflers, will these do the trick ...I tried the search forum but NO go on the same setup...

you got pulled over yesterday? That was inevitable! Sorry to hear it man. Yeah bassani or flowmaster would sound good. I bet Mac's would too. Never heard magnaflows w/ o/r h myself.

I just went back with a prochamber (have a thread about it) and I have the weld-in magnaflows. I will admit that the sound isn't nearly as good with this combo as it would be with a flowmaster/other type of muffler. It's incredibly quiet which I can live with at the moment.

I don't know how the hell magnaflow mufflers sound like rice however Never heard of anything crazy like that before.

flows or macs only give you a deeper tone with drone. The prochamber is gonna be quieter than any H or X at idle, when over 2K it just f'n screams. I've heard plenty of X's and H's with magnapacks and it doesn't sound that bad.

doesn't exactly scream with the magnaflows They're just too quiet of a muffler to allow it I imagine magnapacks on the other hand would be loud

Hahaha, thats definitely a v6 - no way thats a GT. I am currently running a MAC O/R H with a MAC Catback and I would shoot myself in the skull if my car sounded like that.

And to the original poster, the O/R H and Magnaflows is not a good combo - in my opinion. It will be quiet at idle, and its going to give off some machine gunning when you finally get on it. I had an O/R H with Magnaflows (the traditional mufflers) - but I also had LT's. The LT's deepened the exhaust note considerably and there was no machine gunning what so ever. It was a great setup, sounded stock when normally driving and then got crazy when you stepped on the gas.

I heard sound clips of my combo WITHOUT LT's and it was no where near the same. I'd throw them on there for now and save up for a chambered muffler (that are not straight-thru like the Magnaflow's).

I think I am currently on my sixth exhaust setup, haha. I've had two different sets of longtubes, will be going on my third set soon, 3 different midpipes and four different catbacks. I did a lot of mix and matching, so I've heard quite a few combinations. I love the three piece MAC Setup because I can change out my O/R Prochamber and O/R H without having to remove the legs.

Again this is all just my opinion, exhaust is mainly personal preference - go with what your ears tell you kicks ass.

If you want a real sound clip of an O/R H and MAC Catback, let me know and i'll shoot one tomorrow.

Still a leak?!?! and it's not at the mufflers location? Hmm, that's just odd, i had my head down there while it was running and i didn't hear anything besides it coming out the tips.

ya I think when they hooked up the mufflers a bolt somwere must have came loose.. either way nothing an impact wrench cant fix... I think im gonna go with a clean chambered muffler for the raspy 60's style sound !
