Hey guys....
Had a shop install a O/R H-pipe last friday, Car sound awesome!!! :D
If you have not done it, DO IT NOW!!!!:nice:
Question is.... I do not have a CEL light!?!?
Already drove the car for almost 100 miles....
I bought the car in January. It's a 2001 Bullitt and the owner said that the car was bone stock. (looks bone stock).
How can I tell if my car has been tunned ???(CEL turned off)
The bulb is working because it lights up when I start the car.
What else could it be?????

Thanks....

it all depends on alot of variables for the CEL to go off. It goes off because the rear/downstream o2's main (and only function) is to make sure the catalytics are still working, the ecu does this by cross referencing the data with the front o2's, if its far off the ecu knows they are working, if the numbers are the same then the ecu knows the cats are not working. MIL's work by faking the correct voltage the ecu needs to see to realize the cats are still in place.

i got a CEL as soon as i turned my car on, even with MIL's in place. i had to disable the rear o2's in the tune (DiabloPredator) and disable all the obdII checks for the rear o2's.

Has the 100 miles you drove so far been a bunch of short trips? If so the computer may just be attributing the emissions to the cats not being warmed up yet. Im sure if you keep driving the car the light will eventually come on.

They were short and long trips..... It's my DD.
And I did ran the bullitt at WOT!!!!! (More than a couple of times..... heheh:D )
I'll reset the "computer" now and see what happens.
So, there is no way to know if the car has a tune????

Thanks guys....

As black-02 states, a bunch of short trips over several days will keep it from coming on. Installed mine a few months back and it took over a week before it came on. Then it finally did. Got the MIL eliminators and no CEL since.
