O/R H pipe vs X pipe?

Hey guys I was just looking for some opinons....Right now my 93 5.0 LX has full exhaust with a high flow catted x pipe. Ive decided to ditch my cats and go with an O/R pipe but Im not sure if I should go X or H. I know the differences but I just need opions. The H is more deep, so Im thinking with my borlas, the H will sound sick, but I dont really want to put something on which Im going to loose power from. The X is more raspy but my borlas are very mild so they may make up for it, what do you guys think????

i have a 93 LX 5.0 too, with an offroad Xpipe. Xpipe ALLL the way man. it more of a dirty/machine sound. its hard to explain.. but basically when you get on it - it sounds like a tornadoe straight from hell. its soo baddd.

Another vote for the x-pipe. Not a big power difference but I think it has a better sound. A lot less common too.

Do you guys think it will be much of a difference from my high flow catted x?

Also I have about 390 bucks, but in 2 weeks ill have 300 more from whats left over of my next paycheck, do you guys think I should just go from my shortys/catted x to long tubes/OR x?

But then again I plan to go to a 351 maybe in the winter so maybe since Im going to need new headers, I should just stick with the shortys for now and get the O/R pipe since its only 140 bucks. Nevemrind answered my own question lol ...

Not a big enough difference at all to justify 150+ dollars spent for one. MAYBE 5 hp difference. Them hi flo cats work nicely. Better off putting it towards something else, be be able to pass visual inspection easily.

Im doing it more for the sound differance than the HP diff, my car is j ust too quiet. Its literally not far from stock.

another vote for X pipe, . My dad has a custom x made for his 72 torino and it sounds mean as hell with flows.

It will be louder, but not the sound your looking for. The Borla mufflers are the cause. See if you can pick up some Borla Stingers and you will definetly not be too quiet.

It really already has the sound Im looking for, just needs a little more volume. I dont want it to be like flow master loud, just a little bit. I like the borlas because later on with the 351w, I think they will sound awesome.

I think the cats is where the sound really gets lost, even with open stock H pipe its really not that loud.

Going from stock H to High flow catted X was a big differance.

Lol what kinda cam is that man?

Anyways ive decided to wait on the h pipe and just save for my rear, my diff is burnt and I have stock gears.

HEY...Does your make a tinny sound? I just put mine on 2 weeks ago with their LT headers...and it makes a tinny sound...I only drove the car once after that...so am not sure if that will eventually brake in...

'H'= Torque and
'X'=HorsePower

Not to sure about that.
But I personally like the 'X' or even the Pro Chamber that is something different and they say the give more power than the 'H' or 'X'.
