Yes....your either going to have to retune or get the MIL eliminators which i think are around 70 bucks. I say just get a handheld tuner and a CAI at the same time, power increase is awesome and you can retune the car for the lack of Cat's. That is if you dont already have a handheld tunerr

I have a SCT XCAL2. Is that something I can do or will I have to load a new tune?

Thanks,
Jeff

The Xcal2 can turn off the rear O2 sensors. Look under adjustable parameters when you reload your tune and you should see it there. Just remember, each time you have to reload a tune, you'll need to turn them off, unless you have it turned off in the tune itself.

Ok, I look on my XCal, And went to load the 93 oct tune and it said did I would to modify the parameters so I scrolled down and I didn't see no option to turn off the o2 sensor or turn it on so not sure if its built in the tune or not. I guess we will see when I install them.

You know, I could be wrong on that. I could have sworn I saw it on mine, but now I'm not sure. I'll go look at mine here in just a minute and post back.

fyi downpipes are for turbos. what you're referring to is a mid pipe. just for future reference.

Crap, sorry, I don't guess you can. Can you have your tuner adjust your tune file and email it to you?

I'm not sure about Brenspeed, but I know Bamachips automatically disables the rear 02 sensors when he does a tune. I'd email Brenspeed. If it's not automatically disabled, I'm sure he won't charge for that.

I got my SCT tuner from Brenspeed. He turns them off in his tunes, I don't see any option to change them scrolling through...

The option is not available to the end user. It's not built into the XCal2, it's part of the tuning software, and not the end user's version, but the tuner's version.

Thanks guys for your help. I do have brenspeeds 93 oct tune. So with that I should be ok. Well anyways I guess I should have called him and ask, But I was so excited about putting it in I just cut the pipe after the cats and put the x pipe on I can hear for sure the diff. however if I would have called then I could have put the whole system on and been done O WELL. The fun of learning.
