Odd sound while cornering?

Lately my 99GT has been making some odd clacking sounds when cornering, in particular low speed left turns into parking spaces with the clutch in. The sound is just like the sound a front wheel drive car makes when the CV joints are going out. Does anyone have any suggestion on things to check?

Thanks Ike

Could be a lot of things. Get the weight off a front wheel and grab onto it and see if it moves in any direction.

Inspect your front steering and suspension components also...

How many miles on the car?

mine made the same noise, and I thought my tierods were shot. I finally started to change them and they were fine. turns out, it was the struts that would rub in the rubber piecein the cc plates. they would get binded, and pop with fury.

I stil need to grease them up, and ill report back if that solved the problem.
