odds of bad rearend bushings??

i have been told i should replace my rearend bushing since i am swapping in a whole rearend, should i do it while its easier or screw it?? could be spent towards subframes

my car is pretty rattly and noisy, what exactly causes all that rattler, mines noisier than some foxes i've been in...

and exactly how much do SFCs do?? do they make it SILENT or just help it out???

If you are talking about the bushings where the control arms connect to the rear axle housing then it would be much easier to change them while the rear end is out of the car. I would price them and if they aren't outrageously expensive then I would replace them

SFCs basically tie the front and rear subframes together and stiffen the car up. It will usually reduce some noise and creaking and such. My vert wasn't making much noise but you could tell that it flexed and after the subframes the flex has been greatly reduced but it did give it somewhat of a harsher ride due to the reduced chassis flex. I would definetely invest in some SFCs before you do a lot of modding and racing. Much easier to do prevent chassis twist than to fix it later on.

change em while your at it its alot easier and will prob cut down on some of the noise.

Here's how I did mine for very little expense - the bushings aren't very expensive either.

You can reverse the process to install the new ones, OR
put them in a cold freezer awhile which shrinks them just a tad, put on some anti sieze or a little grease, sandpaper the inside of the loop, and mine tapped in easily with a small hammer.

To remove the bushings dont risk safety and waste time. All you need is three things; a sawzall, drill, and pliers. Use the drill to completely remove the old bushing by drilling in between the sleeve and bushing. Once you start drilling you will notice the drill has the tendacy to rotate clockwise in the sleeve, let it do this and the bushing will pop out in one piece. This process will take about a 1 minute. Next, take the sawzall cut two lines through the sleeve approx. 3 inches apart (pay attention to not cut into the axle). That should take 3 minutes due to the caution used to avoid cutting notches in the axle. Last step, take the pliers and pinch/collapse the sleeve which will allow you to pull the sleeve out of the housing with ease. Using these steps I was able to pull remove this bushings in a small amount of time. Before coming up with this idea I spent hours banging away at the bushing in a cramped space only to barely move it.
