sans the fender flares and that rear spoiler the black car isnt half bad

+1

I've always toyed with the idea of taking an '87-'93 GT and doing it up like the Mad Max Interceptor. The Aero headlights and the GT's front fascia already look a lot like the part, so just add some pinstriping on the lights, that second spoiler at the top of the rear window, a side-exit exhaust setup, paint some 10-hole rims black, and bickity-bam! Mad Max clone. :nice:

That one is pretty good, but yeah, the fender flares and the rear wing have gotta go...

I even kinda like the spoiler on that black car...loose the flairs and wheels and it wouldn't look bad at all.

Anymore the cars with body kits and crazy paint schemes and over the top wheels are the cars i skip over when i'm flipping through a magazine. They're getting to be like old street rods....if you've seen one you've seen'em all. It's the cars that are super clean, super straight and tasteful, and have that "more than meets the eye" appeal that i really wanna see.

i didn't say i hated the 4 eye cars i could do with or without 4 .. as long as it looked good .;. my ??? was body mods. u don't see a lot (something different) .. ??/ i'd like 2 see a front end similar to a 65-68 or 05-08 that would bolt right up to the 79-93 .. just my opinion..

Double Penatration?

There's pics floating about of a 70's Camaro onto which someone grafted an '05/'06 Mustang front end. It looked ... extremely ... not good. I can only imagine a Fox Mustang would look even worse with such a setup. And to butcher an older Mustang to serve as the donor would be even more of a crime.

Instead of cross-breeding years of bodywork ... why not just make the most of what you're already using and keep it simple? If you've got, say, an '84 Mustang LX, then why not just give it some nice wheels/tires, an exhaust, maaaaaybe a simple cowl hood, some tint, and a nice paintjob?

I can appreciate wanting to be different, but there's a fine line between uniqueness and just plain tackiness with a lot of cars. Just because something will physically bolt up (or can be made to do so) does not necessarily mean that they will look good. Ever see the Ranger with an Edge Mustang front-end? Or the S10 with a Camaro nose? Yeah ... stuff like that. :ack:
