off road pipe questions

Weird question here but what if you were to get pulled over for something and happened to have an off road pipe on could you be cited for this as well? I plan on putting two high flow cats in sometime soon, but don't want to get a ticket or fine in the meantime. thanks Dan

Maybe youre right. I think my brother told me it was 5K because i have 2 less than stock. Either way,

You CAN have 2 less than stock in Cali BUT, you can only alter/change your mid pipe legally when you have 100,000 miles on the ticker. I'm about 99% sure on that.

if it bothers you, get some blown cats from somewhere, gut them, cut them in half and weld them onto your off road pipe. then it looks like you have them

got caugh the 2nd week i installed it... 170$ fine.. that's it.. i leave it there and they never bugged me again, so far... i try to run away from cops when one is coming behind me in the traffic.

i have read that having no cats on your car is a federal offense and you can be arrested and put in jail for not having them but most cops arnt smart enough to be able to look and know they arnt there. i read it on my states emissions webpage, idk if it is still up or not because our whole emissions system is down because it is so messed up. but on there it said its a federal offense. so by federal i guess that means federal government which i guess means it affects the whole country. but idk for sure.
