Yeah, this is as about as official as it gets

S.C.U.M. Southern California Unified Mustangs.
It's a sort of "non club" type of club. no fees, no dues, no rules. All are welcome.
You probably are S.C.U.M. you just haven't realized it or no one told you to your face yet.

but think of the heat..during the summer, that metal would leave permanent pulley marks in my hand when i went to shift
