It happened about the time I change the factory fluid out. Starting at about 8000 miles or so it developed a "whirring" sound coming from the bellhousing. Push the clutch in and it goes away. I don't know if it is an input bearing or what. Once it warms up a random knocking sound comes from the same area. Again, I haven't read through the entire thread, so I haven't seen this mentioned.
I keep hearing there is a fix coming and basically stopped driving the car over two months ago to make sure the warranty was still there when the fix came. I am getting tired of not driving it and I have a set of headers to put onBut I don't dare do that until I figure out what is up with a fix. I haven't taken it in because I don't want worse than what I got. Not up for being a beta tester for "this weeks fix." I am not particularly keen on the idea of having to pay for a clutch that they will no doubt hit me up for

Recommendation came fro Tremec, not Ford. Could get you going until the TSB comes out. I see it as a band-aid, not a permanent fix.

The headers have been in the box for a year and a half.
This is why I got rid of my 2003 Mustang GT Premium. Their not going to sit their ripping a new car apart 10 times trying to fix this . this is bull. Ford is not Loyal to their customers. They DON'T CARE. I Pulled My 1978 Z28 Out Of the garage today after sitting 2 weeks, and it shifted GREAT! Remember This car is 26 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!! Ford is a bunch Bullshi-t. I made a u turn went right back in side. Then I got the "it's suppose to that" talk. I am ready to just give up. If you spend 27,000 on a car it should shift better than a 30 year old pinto![]()
