If i buy an off road x-pipe and throw on a pair of highflow cats will i run into problems? Will there still be a spot for sensors? Do the cats have to be in a certain place to not trigger the check engine light? Do they have to be in a place to actually gain not lose power? I can get off road xpipes for cheap and cats arent that bad normally so idk i was thinking if it was worth it

FYI - an offroad pipe means without cats. So it cannot be both offroad and have cats.

If it has cats, it may or may not have bungs on the pipe. Either way, you can get some welded in or you may have to buy MIL eliminators.

look at the prices...take vrs for example. 160 for the aluminized o/r and 360 for the catted one. You can buy magnaflow/carsound cats off of ebay for about 40 bucks each...after shipping say 100. If you can get them welded for less than a hundred bucks, which shouldn't be too hard, you saved yourself some money. I have been planning on this method for a while now but funds have not allowed it.
