I'm trying to get the phantom autometer electric fuel guage for my 67 but they run on set ohms...anyone know which one i should get...they are as follows...

0-90 Ohms
7 3/8-12 Ohms
240-33 Ohms
0-30 Ohms
16-158 Ohms

I know you can check by testing the float but i don't have anything that can check for ohms....

It should be the 0-90 ohm gauge.

I HIGHLY recommend you spend $15 a radio shack and buy a voltmeter though.
Any decent one will be able to check Ohms as well. They are worth every penny when it comes to electical work on your car.

I second the 0-90 ohm. But I'd bet your fuel sending unit is not reading what it should if it is original. The gauge probably wont be very accurate if you don't replace the fuel sending unit too.

that's cool, i was going to replace the sending unit anyway. So the new sending unit should be 0-90 correct.?

I think a stock sending unit (1969) reads 8-12 up to 72-80 ohms.

I'll second that, the GM and fuel cell senders are the 0-90 ohm. The fords went the other way, 73 - 12 ohms.
