I am currently in the process of building a Vortech Supercharged 331 Stroker motor for my '90 LX Coupe and am wondering if I can reuse my stock oil pan or if I need to purchase a new one? I will have a Main Girdle installed, although I am not sure what brand. The car's main purpose will be for the strip, but may see occasional street use.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just installed a moroso Deep sump on a 331.P/N MOR-20521

didnt have any fitment problems.

The DSS girdle is very nice and is comes will all ARP hardware. I am a fan of the Canton pans, I would also suggest you drill the hole for your oil return fitting before you install the pan, We used an fittings and hose instead of the push on stock supplied hose from Vortech.

I'm in the process of building my 331 stroker motor for my 90GT and I bought a Canton pan. The pan that I have is 7.5 inches deep sump. I bought an ARP stud kit for the R302 block and had to buy 1 stud for the main support set up so I could bolt my pick-up to it. So when I put my pan on, the main support bolt hit the pan. I cut off 1/2" of the main support bolt and it cleared. I didn't even consider using the stock pan, so I would think you would have clearance issues. Not 100% sure.
