I cant get the F'Ucker off! Accidently i basically stripped the bolt to take it off. How else can i get it off? I am trying to put my autometer electric gauges and need to get the stock sending unit off.

well the body of the sender will move but not the actual bolt that holds the unit on. What is pb? stupid question i know but i hate abreviations laugh out loud hehe

PB Blaster is a brand of penetrating oil - the stuff is amazing (way better than about anything else I've used). You can get it at parts stores and wally mart.

You might end up removing the hex tube that goes between the sender and the block. On a bench you can get the sender fitting off and chase the threads.

Good luck.

Thats what I would do, or try a small vice grip around the stripped nut, but just removing the block to sender adapter would be easiest.

Vise grips on your stripped hex fitting will do the trick.

I don't know if you can get the hex pressure tube to rotate with the sending unit still attached. I think it would hit the powersteering pump.

Oh and don't forget to wear some gloves.

yea its a 93 notch, and use a socket to get the hex part out or the sending unit. I am guessing the hex because i cant fit a socket in there. Any one have a pic of where to take the hex piece off, my power steering pump is leaking and i cant see anything because its coated. Thanks for the help guys!
