oil pump problems???

hey whats up fellers!i got a major problem i think.the needle on my oil gauge doesnt go up when my car is running.and there´s a stupid lil noise coming from inside my intake.it sounds like when you spin a wheel and there´s a pin to stop it.something like the wheel of fortune!:notnice: the needle goes up when i step on the gas some,but then it goes back down again.i hope i explained myself.thanks fellers!
 
First thing is to make sure you have oil pressure. Borrow or buy a gauge and check it with that. The stockers are crap. With whats going on now... the gauge reading higher with an increase in engine rpm makes me think your oil pump is getting weak. That could be creating the noise you are hearing ie: a lifter, pushrod or rocker pecking because of lack of oil.
