oil questions

alright guys i just changed my oil myself i added way to much oil and now i need to bleed the system of ohh half a quart or so and i was wondering the best way to do that. any ideas? i know it is a fairly easy fix, also i was wondering if anyone knew where could get knew power window switches for my 86 stang, thanks jerry

loosend up the bolt and let it slowly drain back out but dont take it all the way out.

"Bleed the system"... ahahah I have never heard of it being put that way.

I just say its overfilled.

Anywho, it's not rocket science, just take the drain plug off, and count about 5 seconds.

no, 5 seconds is gonna drain more than half a quart.

drop the front drain. it only holds maybe 3/4 of a quart or so from the looks of it (when i have it jacked for my big self to get under the thing). easier angle too, than the rear drain.
when i overfilled way back when, i found it easier to drain more than i needed -easier to top up than repeat the messy drain process.

Dude I work @ a lube shop. If its a half qt that needs to be dropped, we use a 5 second count.

I never over fill though
