out messing with some friends when i realized that a plume of smoke was behind me . stopped and looked under the hood and realized oil had come up through my dipstick and on to my headers. i thought maybe it coul be the pcv valve but thats brand new. some peeps say its blow by and other says it coul dbe my pcv valve is lugged and so on. i'm building pressure in my crank case but why? my momds are as follows : edelbrock 5.0 upper and lower intake, e303 cam, brand new wires, new dis msd cap + rotor , and an s-trim running at 8psi with fmu and stock injectors.

this all happened after i got my cam installed.

you mentioned that the valve is new - how about the condition of the screen under it?

good luck.

LOL! I've seen this happen before. Somehow, you are boosting your crank case.

Often, the stock connection between the oil filler neck and the engine's intake is left intact or refabricated to fit the new supercharger system's intake. When this happens, you are sending boost into your valve cover.

This may be the case for you, or you are some other way forcing boost into your crank case. Good luck.

it's wierd tho because this never happenedd until just recently on the weekend when i installed my cam, i was out messing with the guys when we noticed the oil coming up through the dipstick. never did this before the cam but i was thinking maybe it was happening before and the cam just made it noticeable.

some people have told me to try and use a pcv valve from a supra and/or breathers. but at the same time another guy told me using breathers before actually finding out what's happening may just be messy.
