hey guys my buddy just swapped a carbed 302 into his former 1992 4 banger. My question is what do you do about the tachometer wiring, bc right now the tach is running wwaayyyy high. What should be around 2000 is about 7000, so what do we need to do to fix it? thank ya

I got one out of a 302 car and put it in mine. My car was a non air bag car and the instrument cluster I had was from an air bag car. So on the back of the tach there is a little chip with four little nuts holding it on I just swapped the chips and it works good.

I have also been told that you can take it to a speed shop and get it recalibrated.
