I`m doing 6 cyl to V-8 conversion.
My motor is done at the shop, I`m making list of parts I need. Its a 302.

Distrubtor, coil, wire and plugs, and dist gear
Fuel pump, regulator, line, in line filter, and hose and fittings, also pressure gauge
Water pump with hoses
radiator and fan
carbarator, think Edelbrock 600
gauge package and sending units
harmonic balancer and flexplate
headers and bolt kit
breather and air filter assembly
optima battery

These parts are being added to list at Born in a Fords suggestion

battery cables
thermostat and water neck
heater hoses and clamps for everything
engine to firewall ground strap (I wound never had thought of this one)
gaskets
motor mounts (already got a set of adjustables from Ron Morris Performance)

If anyone can think of anything I may need thats not on this list, let me know please, I`m going to parts house tommorow to make BIG order.

Come on, anyone else? I`m leaving sometime today to order, help me out if anything is missing.

Don't forget gaskets (depending on how complete your engine is) and hose clamps.
Motor mounts?
Thermostat?
Water neck?
Heater hoses?
Battery cables?
engine to firewall grounding strap?
Also, make sure to have some beer for your buddies when they come over to help...

Cool, that helped, had missed bunch of those

Born in a Ford, I`m updating the list as we go along. Thanks, I had missed a bunch of your suggestions.

Anyone else want to chime in too?

It should, I think as long as it's clocked with mounting holes around 180* from each other it should be fine.

what year motor? Roller? You also need oil pan, valvecovers/breathers for the cover. Possibly the oil pressure extension if the sender doesnt fit. A plug for a dipstick hole in the block if you are using an old style timing cover. do you have a voltage regulator? also trans-engine bolts. What about clutch/flywheel/pressure plate/throw out bearing? Z bar linkage?

I dont see intake, starter, bellhousing, oil pan, timing cover, fuel pump, eccentric...but its hard to say what you need when we don't know what your engine is going to come with from your shop or what you already have.
