I've tried and tried and tried and still can't save my avatar. I reduced the picture down to a little, tiny size of 4kb and it still won't save. I'm using option 2 and using the browse button to find the picture. I then press the save changes button and nothing uploads. This can't be this difficult. Please help!

Thanks,
Dean

It is a jpg file. I kept thinking it was too big so I tried reducing it several times and now it's a tiny 4 kb file and the maximum size says 34 kb so I know that's not the problem either. I've been a member for 2-1/2 years so hopefully I'm still not in some "New" status that won't allow me to have an avatar.

Will someone please tell me how to upload an avatar pic from my computer?

Here is the picture I'm trying to save as my avatar. It won't save it using option 1 for using a link to another website and it won't save it using option 2 for uploading from my computer.

The same picture loads just fine under the "Profile Picture" section.

^ What's that supposed to tell me?

I also noticed that I'm not allowed to have a signature. What's the deal with that?

You need to resize it to within 90x90. It's currently 101x79. Do a google search on resizing your image to fix it and it'll load up just fine.

You haven't got enough posts yet for a signature. If memory serves, you need 50-posts before that function is allowed.

No, it won't load up just fine

I just resized it again to 89x75 (3.44KB) and it still won't upload using either avatar upload option.

Here's the resized 89x75 image:

Pick a new username and have timeless2 change it. Your name isn't allowing it because of how vBSEO rewrites the URL for the profile, which brings you to a different member's profile, based on how it's configured. The space and dash in your name are causing it.

So do I create a new profile using a different name and then have timeless2 change it to what I want to be? I want it to be "SLO 5-OH" in all capitals. Can that be done and then my old "slo 5-oh" be deleted?

I'm relieved to know that it wasn't my fault. I've added avatars to several sites and never had a problem before.

Thanks,
Dean

That username would be identical, except in caps. It would need to be a completely different username. Just let him know what you would like, and if it's available, then the change can be made. You don't need to re-register, just have this name changed.
