Ok, intake or remove air silencer thing + K& N?

Hey, I have a '95 Cobra. Should I buy an intake for it for like 150 bucks, or just remove the air silencer thing or whatever that is that restricts air flow then get a K & N drop-in filter? Would the power gain be about the same as an intake? Thanks for the help in advance...

I just took apart my air box and learn'd that you can't just hook up a filter, so I just bought an cai off mustang tuning for 70 bucks

uh...yeah you can put a K&N drop in in these cars...and god knows if the ones from ebay even work...

My cousin got one off ebay and he said that the metal they are made of get extremely hot so its not really a CAI after a little while.

if you have the rubber silencer remove it all it does is restrict air flow if you upgrade to a cai it will help air flo. you see the rubber turns in stock throttle body to air box tube this causes turbulence which affects air flo. if you wanted to buy one click on link heres a cheap one it looks good and will have alot less turbulence than stock and will bolt up with no necessary additional parts. and click on (back to list of items) in link to look at others.
