I agree with the above...5.0 block stroked to 331, AFR185s or TFS heads, 10:1, Wieland excellerator, headers, Duraspark ignition and a custom FTI hyd roller. I'd expect in the neighborhood of 430fwhp, as I've seen a similar motor pull 402hp with a dual plane intake and an off the shelf cam.

I appreciate the feedback and will stick with the 289. Look to the winters of 06/07 and 07/08 to make some nice engine Mods after we finally get her up, running and looking good.

Yeah, but you're 18, he's 33 and the first 4 letters in his screen name lead me to believe he's probably gotten as much, if not more, than he's given. If you'd have read what he originally wrote, you'd see he said he didn't know a lot about what he was dealing with yet. The internet is a wealth of information, but it's an even bigger source of disinformation.
