My 03 5speee does the same thing. I adjusted the idle throttle screw to idle at 1000rpms. When I come to a stop the revs stick and then after a second or so it drops to almost stall. But most of the the time it catches it in time and goes back to idle speed. Gotta watch it sometimes and give a quick tap on accelerator to make sure it doesn't stall. Any fixes on the sticking high revs?
I had the exact same problem! I would start my car and the rpms would drop drastically and my car would shut off unless I gave it gas, only while idling too. Battery checked and it's 100% good, the first sign was my lights not dimming when it would do this. So I bought new spark plugs and cables, installed them last night. The cables were dry rotted and plugs we're bad. It solved the problem completely! She has a very smooth start up and idle now. I hope this helps someone!
