Is a starter from a 1987 F150 with 5.0L/AOD different from a starter from a 1989 Mustang 5.0L 5-speed? Are there differences from auto and 5-speed starters on Mustangs? I'm going to get a 95 starter as they are "high-torque" but does that fit on an 89? thanks
think they are different. autos use 164t or so, and the manuals use 157t. if this is going on a 302 with a manual, get a starter from a 92 or 93 GT, they came factory with the mini starter.
