Well, not really gone, just dropped off at Modular Depot :D . I just dropped the car off today. Ken has been putting the new motor together. He says I should be able to come and pick it up a the end of next week. Can't wait to "feel" the difference. For those that don't know, I found an 03 crate motor and added: comp cam's XE270s; long-tube headers; x-pipe; aluminum fly wheel; 4.10's; and Ken is going to tune a 4-way chip. I'm also having them go through the tranny while it is out. I have a new set of Michellin Pilot Sports for it (245 front, 285 rear), so I'm looking forward to some good pics and video's of wasting the Nitto's that are on there when it is finished!! Not sure how long I'll have to break it in first though...

That's funny Marcus  . I've been called a lot of things, but patient definately isn't one of them! Patients is not my strong suit! It looks like patients because I couldn't make up my mind. I wasn't going to do anything to it, then I decided it's my damn car, I should be satisfied with it right? I get everything from RT-4 Neons to crotch rockets wanting to run me. It looks fast, but is butt-draggin slow, so I had to do something. I was just going to sell it and buy an s351, but then I got it "looking" like I wanted it (paint, top, wheels, etc). The combination of more hp and gears should net me low 13's/high 12's. The issue will be "hooking up" (not that I'll drag race it much). I just want it to have more power! I'll get it done, break it in, and achieve a few "kills" then settle back down.

Mike - I'll definately be at the National Show! Is there going to be a driving event? That is the other reason for the 4.10's. I want to autocross it a bit. The next expenditure will be for bigger breaks, CC adjusters and a possible coil-over conversion. Still looking for 10" magnesiums and Saleen leather Recaro's if anyone runs across any...

The National Show does not have an autoX scheduled for this year, but has the following:

a> Go-Cart Racing (so you don't wreck your real car)

b> Road-Rallye (drive your car all over in a timed event)

It is a GREAT time :)

These are the correct seats for a 98-04 Saleen (Trend Style). The correct seats for the 94-97 Saleen are the LXF style. But then again, none of the budget cars had Recaro's just the stock Ford seat and like you said earlier, Its your car :nice:

Dammit Robert. You are supposed to hoard not sell. What are you doing? You must need money for magnesium lug nuts and center caps. :D

P.S. I found my bag of magnesium lug nuts if you need some. :D

"Found a bag of magnesium lug nuts", you make me sick Marcus! When I "find" something, it is usually a fuzzy M&M or something else totally useless. I have to buy Saleen parts when I need them, you friggin find them lying around :bang: How about parting w/ those 10 inchers for me bro...

Hey, I have a source for new magnesium lug nuts! It looks like I will be back to hoarding for awhile. I may have my R sold/traded for another R with race history. It a Steeda backed car. No motor or trans, but I always have spares!

Actually, selling parts for a down payment on a house!!!! I would rather sell parts and live in a house then hoard parts and live in an apartment
Besides I still have plenty of Saleen Parts that I am hoarding, just not as many as you, Scott, Stu, Mike, etc. etc. etc

Yes, Please!!!! I need ten more for the front two wheels and the center caps if you have a few spares. I'll take them as an apologize for not coming to the HB Concours show on Sunday :p

You know, two days ago Christa was asking me what I was doing with two sets of SR wheels & the SA-10 hood & the...

:D

You don't really want him to answer that do you Scott? If you find out, you'll be forced to go out and find a set to go in your "collection". You guys have developed a sickness that it catchy. My wife is already asking me what I'm going to do with the old parts off of the car. I'll have the motor, stock PI cams, stock valve springs, stock h-pipe, stock flywheel (and flex plate since the 03' motor came for an automatic), stock gears, stock exhaust manifolds, etc. I'm thinking I won't be as lucky as you'all when it comes to hording parts around the house... :nonono:

The trick is to selectively purchase one gift at a time for your wife. That way when the subject comes up about your parts you can retort by asking her a question about the last gift you bought her to throw her.
There is a downside to that strategy if you practice it over multiple years. The gifts get bigger and bigger. Then you end up buying her an Escalade.

SR wheels? What are the differences?

They are off the Saleen SR widebody race cars.

Been a while since I looked at them, but I think they were 10" fronts and 12" rears. The SR wheels are also a Vette bolt pattern.

They are off Tim Allen's Saleen SR Racecar.
