Been away for a few months working on some non-profit stuff:

I agree, take care of the family first.

I had to wait 45 years to begin playing with these wonderful machines!

Got a few up dates coming to the non-commercial, no ad site. Believe most will enjoy the improvements as we continue to get the word out.

I see you've put a lot of work into your site, very nice.
Say, Henry, you know that pearsonhenrywaveby vid? How come you let that guy catch up? Just kidding, nice sounds there.

You know Henry, you're younger than me and I'm dissapointed you aren't still tooling around the track. Do you plan to do more racing? You know Paul Newman is 80 and still into it. If I ever get my baby back together I still plan on at least some opentrack events.
I got sick of not having anything to drive and bought a 1984 Mazda GSL SE from a guy over at C-C.com. Came with extra wheels with some worn out rubber on them. If I scrape up the bucks for tires, I thought I'd do some autocrossing with it. (From the stickers on it, it's been through a lot of that.

Although I do not come to this site that often, I am starting to become more of a daily lurker. I remember coming across your site quite a while ago and you have been a big influence as to some of the mods I have done to my car. Your website is great and is very informative. I like the new additions. Keep up the great work! I will be taking my car out to Willow Springs in November. It should be a blast and am looking forward to it, hopefully one of many future racing endeavors. By the way, those are some curves on that Cobra!

You guys are great!

Yep, still got the coupe and the racer and the wife (sorry, not the one pictured) and some more track time in the future. I set out to do as many road courses as possible and have all of them East of the Mississippi (11 total) except Mid Ohio and Road America. In the process we out ran the high dollar Edelbrock cars and a few more and had a lot of social time with other road racing Mustangs. (Can't touch the $125,000 cars from Cobra Automotive!) Sorry!

Funny, one of the things I learned very fast was that way too much attention is focused on the front end of the early models. Every magazine in the world is trying to sell the average Mustanger parts for the front end when all you have to do is "free" up the rear. Doesn't take a lot of money to do that so you do not hear much about it.

No commercials (will put up info on how to get the HistoricMustang.com T-shirt) and the HM site is tied in with my other love...........The Augusta International Raceway Memorial Project ( www.augustainternationalraceway.com )! If we do not remember this fromer track and the former drivers and we do not remember these great early models.............who will?

Man that is simply a beautiful car...looks better every time I see it Gotta catch you up at Watkins Glen at some point if you ever make it back up this way...Maybe by that point Eleanor will be ready for the haul (not racing, but what better car to drive 6 hours to vintage racing than a 73 Mach!!)....

Got to get this retirement thing in line and get that 12.000 pound monument even bigger.....................then perhaps more playing time with the NASA - Southeast bunch. I would suggest that the StangNet members bookmark the NASA - Southeast schedule ( http://www.nasa-southeast.com/ ) and attend some of the events. A lot of action and the photo of the Cobra above was taken at a NASA event so that should indicate the social side of the organization.

Do you mean the $30,000 289's and being track supported with a crew of many?

Their parts are correct - just very high dollar!

Remember, they run with all of the period correct Historic Groups so their set up is pretty close to what was run in the mid sixties. In fact I cheat so they are more correct than mine!

Me on the right hangin' out with some of our non profit group that supports the old tracks and old cars! Pictured is the $10,000, 12,000 pound memorial that we just put on the ground at Diamond Lakes Regional Park here in Augusta in honor of all the great drivers and cars that competed at the Augusta International Raceway ( www.augustainternationalraceway.com ). What are you doing to support the old stuff?
