OMFG! BBK X O/R sounds like a tin can

i just had this o/r x pipe put on my LT's and it sounds like a damn tin can with rattling everywhere sounded better with nothing on it now i gotta drive around sounding like a ricer.. what the hell... What xpipe doesnt sound like a tin can bbk sux...My flows even rattle with it when i accelerate they both suxxkxxkxkxkx

ugh the BBK x pipe isnt making your car sound like ****, its your flow masters, once you get no cats they have that tinny ultra raspy crappy sound. Get some better mufflers.

I have a BBK o/r X pipe and it sound great with my borlas.

Hummm...I got bbk lt and there o/r x with bassani catback and it sound pretty good. Everyone has there opinions but maybe its the flowmasters you got on it

It sounds to me like you have exhaust pieces rattling up against whatever is near it. Spend some time and get it properly aligned so that it doesn't vibrate against stuff.

I have mac 3/4 LT's with a pro chamber mid and hooker muffs and it sounds ok i just wish it was louder, it's loud as hell when you get on it but at puttin around it's quite My 95 had bassani equal lenth with bassani O/R X and flow american thunder muffs with 3 1/2 tips and it sounded

I agree.. and what planet are you from dude? lol you didnt do something right.. hell i run Hedman LT's and a BBK X o/r.. with 40 series 2 chambers.. it is scweet i have no rattle.. because i do it right the first time

even at idle i hear popcorn popping.. it was the bastard at the exhaust shop then im having all this rattling... sounds like theres marbles inside the x pipe

on the cobra i have bbk LT with a dr gas x-pipe and spintechs and it sounds bada$$ and on race car run custom LT with a dr gas x-pipe and moroso spiral flows.. that sounds even better.. i like the sound of an x-pipe so much better then a h-pipe with flows

My UPR cat'ed X-pipe sounds pretty nice, albeit a tad too quiet for my tastes with the Dynomax cat-back I've got behind it. Not raspy at all. I'm about to find out in a few days (when I get the time to crawl under there) what it'll sound like with a pair of Pypes Violator muffs in place behind it.

Of course, a catless X is something of a totally different ballgame, but nevertheless, LT's tend to quiet things down enough that an X, in and of itself, shouldn't cause things to sound tinny or ricey in any way. I'd have to agree with the others above that it's likely those Flows you've got behind it. Chambered muffs without sound packing of any sort have a really hollow sound to 'em, and a catless X is just going to crank the volume up on that sort of sound all the more - some folks dig that sound, others hate it. Maybe it just wasn't as noticeable before with your prior setup...?

Maybe consider some Hooker AeroChambers, if you prefer chambered muffs, or go for any straight-through design muff - Dynomax Ultra-Flo, Hooker Max Flow, Edelbrock RPM, Pypes Violator or Race Pro, Magnaflow, etc. - for something that'll burble at idle and sound sedate at cruise but roars at WOT.

I got BBk shortys,Mac o/r H-pipe and 40 series dumped at the mufflers and it sounds freakin mean.Especially at 2k rpm's You want to pay the little extra and have your exhaust done by someone reputable if you cant do it yourself.Ive seen some hidious things done to mustangs by joe the exhaust guy from round yonder.Preferably somone who works with mustangs on a daily basis,there gonna get it sounding the best!

so, bad.You should get a o/r h pipe instead because it will sound
awesome with your Flowmaster mufflers.

Sounds like your pipes might be hitting the bottom side of the undercarriage. Check alignment of the X-pipe then check where the tails go over the axle. That's where mine was rattling. Sounded like metal parts tapping.
