omg help.. car is almost together, missing one thing!

cant find the motor mount nuts that go on the studs...

1992 LX, 347

my new motor is sitting in the car unbolted, ready to go sans these nuts.. ford can get them but they are 10-14 days away.. does anyone know the size/thread pattern for these nuts..


HALP!

I think they are 9/16''x14. I just got some nylocs and lock washers from lowes for an 82 that were building at my shop.

thanks man!

so thats basically 9/16'' outside diamater x14mm threads?.


just wanna make sure i know what im going for when i head down to a nut/bolt supply place

Hey,

If you can, just measure the bolt with a tape measure to get a rough estiame of the diameter. Then from there buy a handful of nuts with different thread type...should be more then 10 bucks. And thread them on till you find something that fits

the 9/16-14 refers to is being a 9/16" i.d with a 14 thread count per inch i believe. just tell them you need a 9/16" corse thread or u.s.s. nylon lock nut.. they should know what you are talking about.

Not trying to be a complete A hole but you cant wait? You live in canada do you plan on driving the car in the snow?

if you had 15k in performance parts waiting to be driven.. having maybe 3 weeks of nice weather before snow, wouldnt you be impatient too

seirously, i sold my green car this spring, and havnt had a toy since then.. so no i cant...


and it ended up being a 14 mm coarse thread nut btw

Thats cool, just figured there would be 10' of snow so you would e rolling around with chains on your tires. Good luck with it.
