Ok my 95 v6 is having a weird problem. Its Pretty cold out here in michigan and my heat is weird, My temp gage will get really hot and it blows cold air out. then i let it sit for a bit then drive a little and it gets warm. Well im thinking either my thermostat is bad or coolant. Tomarrow i am going to flush and refill it and put a new thermostat in. Well anyway my question is What kind of mixture do you guys use coolant/water??is more coolant then water better in the winter??? and how much total should i refill in there??

don't know the total amount.....but I believe it's usually 50/50 so that way you know you'll have good coverage from the heat and cold.

You may wanna check your heater core to make sure it's not shot, but it's a major pain in the rear to get to it

Sounds like Heater Core or Thermostat. It's not the fluid and flushing it won't help.
