I am getting ready to list a 351 clevland 4 bolt main 4B heads roller rockers , offinhauser intake for sale, the cylinder walls have no ridge and all looks good, one of the heads just got back from head job the other did not appear to need it, I was thinking of selling it for $1,200.00 dollars and was wantng some input as to if I am in the right ballpark.

Thanks for the input.

seems high to me from what you've said in your post. It depends on the specifics that you've left out. Without knowing, I wouldn't touch it. You've listed intake, heads, and some block info. What are you selling? Is it complete with tins, carb, crank, pistons, pulleys, accessories, everything? Is it a long block with an intake?

Are the cylinders stock bore size or overbored? Just saying there's no ridge wouldn't be enough for me. If you could check the taper when you're checking the bore that could raise the asking price if the bores are in really pristine condition.

I realize roller rockers are spendy, but I would want to know more about it before dropping so much. If it doesn't run, what's wrong with it? What was it being used in/for? What cam/lifters are in it (if you know)?

I'm not familiar with 4B heads. What's that? Is that an aftermarket thing? Are they closed chamber?

I've heard the offenhauser is not that good. I guess it's a decent street manifold.

That's all I can think of.

You might want to post it on the classifieds on the Cleveland forum http://www.network54.com/Forum/119419 Standard bore blocks are worth more than say a .060 over one and the closed chamber 351c 4B heads are worth more than the open chamber ones so it is hard to set a value.

You need details.
A virgin bore will bring VERY good money, while even a .030" overbore is shunned by many clev. guys.
Same with heads, relatively untouched, closed chamber heads bring money... While extensive mods and open chambers are harder to sell and bring less.
The only head mods that help you are:
Screw in studs, guide plates, and aftermarket valves.

Good luck
Dave
