That belt looks a little loose buddy.

You'll really enjoy that car when it's all said and done.

Check that you installed the wastegate seat (goes between the wastegate and the header). It's easily overlooked in a huge pile of parts.

Unfortunately I bought this kit from a friend, and the wastegate was already installed on the pipe. I was hoping for the best but now it looks like I need to take it apart and see what's up with it. I honestly would rather just get a new waste gate. I don't want to take chances with the amount of time I have invested in this.

@90sickfox Yeah, belt is not where it should be on th3e tightness scale. Will address that tomorrow. I was just glad the car fired up and ran.

Ok. @90sickfox and @a91what . I am new to this turbo game so help me out. It appears something is missing here... I can see daylight where the valve is supposed to seal. I think at this point I won't risk anything and just order a new bov and wastegate.

Yeah it was surprisingly easy to install. It's nice that this is just a toy, and not something I need for transportation so there is very little pressure to get things done quickly. I am happy to be at the point I am at. Waiting for a new waste gate gives me time to paint the bumper I had to cut up.

Just drove the car for an hour. OMG what a fun ride. Steve @a91what emailed me a tweak to the tune and the car runs great!! Anyone who needs tuning services I highly recommend Steve.

The first time I went into boost this happened....

I had a bad feeling about that clamp as it was the only non-new one I used. I didn't panic...I had a feeling that's what had happened. I put a regular clamp on and am waiting for the clamps I ordered to arrive.

Car is so smooth and drives really normal until your foot gets into it...then it's all smiles!

Thanks again Steve!

Got the front bumper painted. Came out nice. I am going to have the guy who painted it paint the whole car. My "garage paintjob" isn't up to the standards this car has become.
