I didn't come in here bashing stangs in any way, or saying that LSx cars are the fastest and nothing can match them.
Corey, about the being in the hole 10k? Dude are you serious? You can pick up a LS1 car for near the same or even less than what you paid for your car no problem. I have the last year made, and the only one that was higher priced than mine is a Firehawk, so of course it's gonna cost more than yours, and it will re-sale for more than yours as well.
This will nip it in the bud here....The 01 SS you lost to, that is STOCK, and is NEWER than your car, was purchased within 1500-2k of what you paid for yours
Point is who cares what it cost, you buy what you want, and the price doesn't mean it has to be faster. I could have bought something older, like a 98 WS6, installed the same crap on it and been relatively close to where I am now. I wanted the "last of the breed", and low miles.

like he said, its not the cost of the car that makes it fast. its what you have done to it. we all like to mod our cars, its just about how much you want to put into modding it that will make it fast.
after my summer mods, i will have spent a boatload. the car will be fast. i also could have used the same amount of cash and bought the new z06 and been just as fast. its about modding, its about making a fast GT. my car will be fast for a gt not for the bi-turbo mercedies or a viper or a z06.
sure it will keep up with them, that is the joy of modding. but for the guy driving the zo6 who pulls up next to the viper, it is expected that both will be fast. theres no real achievement there. when they pull up next to me and i beat them or keep up.....they will say damn that GT is fast......achievement!
This is a mustang site....a small amount of bashing comes with the teritory if you do not own a mustang.
Basically the guy seems a BIT cocky about his car being uber fast, but nothing to really worry about. Its my job to keep him 100% down to earth durring his short stay here. LOL
