Opinion Poll

As a Saleen owner, here's my take. Keep it stock and numbers matching. If your looking for a little kick in the pants, have the stock block bored thirty over and the stock heads and intake ported mildly. Don't fragment such a rare car with a hodge podge of aftermarket parts. The decession is really yours, but why Bastardize such a unique and collectable Mustang? To me, it's not about the value of the car or turning a profit in a few years......it's about the history and the legacy of these cars and how much excitement they generate to the automotive enthusist community. Think about how giddy we all get when we catch a glimpse of a Boss 302, Shelby GT350 or a Hertz Mustang??? Why? Because they're so rare? It's not about the value, it's about the heritage. Fox body Mustangs are getting harder and harder to find these days...and Fox body Saleens are considered an endangered species. Give another generation of Mustang enthusists a chance to view an authentic original Fox Body Saleen. Stepping off my soap box.

Take out the motor, and put it in the corner of your garage with a cover on it.Buy a crate stroker, put it in.Drive it,if its not enough, add a blower, now your smoking!!!When it comes time to sell the car(provided you didnt wrap it around a tree with all that power!!) Put the original motor back in and get top dollar for the stang!!And sell the other package for even more money,or put it in your next vehicle!!

Couldnt of said it better myself :nice: , do this, and get a dart block and do a 347 stroker, or if you can fit it do a 351w/ 383w-408w, and boost the crud out of it , if you have the money... :nice: and feel real power :spot:

Dont put a 4.6 in a older saleen :nonono: thats just not rite... :notnice:

in a stock mustang ok but not a saleen :)

Saleen #455, Willys, and Xtreme. Thank's for the words. You know I think you three nailed it right on the head.
I think I will pull out the original motor and restore it original. and since i would love to drive the car soon, I'll throw a stroker in there and enjoy the car while I restore the original.
TOO MANY OPTIONS.

Thanks again.

They only mod motor i'd put in that car is an '03 Cobra motor, if you're resourceful enough to get your mits on one. Have you guys heard about the land speed record holding Cobra? The motor is bone stock! That's damn impressive.
