Ok guys, here's the question.

What would you do in my situation? I have an 89' Saleen hatch with a basketcase for a motor. First, the rest of the car is all original Saleen , I am the original owner and will never sell the car so I 'm not concerned about doing something wild with the motor.
Should I
A. build a nice 347 stroker from the existing block and use something I am all to familiar with a Vortech centrif. blower.
or
B. Is it feasible to get a modular in there from a donor car I have my eye on and add that Kenne B blower I always wanted with a mild tune to get up to around 450 rwhp?

Don't be bashful with your responses. I can handle any sort of commentary.

Thanks

A
Pros: More powerful.
Cons: Stock block is the "fuse" in this situation (not good).
B
Pros: Cheaper, smoother, shock factor.
Cons: Won't hit 450rwhp on stock internals, you'd have to install a bunch of new wiring (I hate wiring).

That being said, if it was my car, I'd do option A but I would do it right with an aftermarket block...a4 maybe a b50. We're talking big bucks for the first setup.

I agree, you would likely discover that it is a major PITA to install a modular motor in your car. The engine is too big and you have to use the PCM/wiring from a newer GT/Cobra. You also have to deal with the PATS system and unless you go with a 96-98, a returnless fuel system and the instrument cluster from a 99+ GT. It is also much cheaper to mod the 302... :nice:
