opinions on brenspeed steeda cia-sct2 combo

Been looking around the site quite a bit and have'nt seen much feedback about the steeda CIA's, to me, they look like they are somewhat better quality than the others with the SS heatshield etc.

Ive heard a lot of good things about the Brenspeed SCT2 tuner +Cai combos such as JLT & CL but i like the looks of the Steeda as it matches my 05 satin silver GT. Anyway im seriously thinking about getting one. What do you all think? any opinions?

I've heard good things about Steeda and Brenspeed is amazing with his tunes. If you are looking for that black intake elbow and SCT tune, why not get the C&L 95mm Racer Intake? Same color/look, has a heat shield, has the X-Cal 2 tune, and is cheaper.

Just a thought. Either way you go, you'll be happy.

Yeah, i looked at the racer intake combo, but it said its for highly modded cars, don't know if that matters or not with the included tunes. This will probably be the only mod i do for some time, and really dont see myself doing anything radical in the future.
Im still leaning towards the steeda for now, i like the stainless steel heat shield and it seems to enclose the filter the most...from the pictures anyway.

I have the C&L Street CAI and the heat shield is the same as the Steeda one. The tunes are fine for your car and it really isn't for highly modded cars, it's just a little better than the Street intake because it's lighter (or at least that's my reasoning hehe).

Either one you go with you'll be happy. You be especially happy with the tune, say hello to an entire new car once you get the tune put on

I have the Steeda intake along with bamachips 93 torque tune and am very pleased with the additional touque in the lower and mid RPM ranges..Either way, you won't be disapointed with Bamachips or Brenspeed's tunes ? their pretty much very identical and also have great customer support. As for the Steeda heat sheild being similar to the C&L street intake ?? that is completely not accurate at all..The Steeda heat sheild is designed from aluminum and is directly attached to the MAF billet housing, where on the other hand ? the C&L sheild is designed from plastic and is not directly attached to the MAF housing..Anyway ? hope you find this as helpful and best of luck to you..

I have the JLT/SCT combo from Brenspeed and it is great. I highly recommend them, as I have done with many of my friends and they are all as happy as me.

I just installed a brenspeed tuner and C and L intake, according to my Gtech the parts were good for half a second and 7 mph in the quarter, and 0-60 half a second better on my automatic car with a stock exhaust. The throttle is a little more touchy then stock, likes to jump off the line. I am using the 91 octane tune and it is gas quality sensitive now. The car definitely pulls harder up to 100 than before. The only thing i notice negative is I have to manually disable the traction control everytime now, or it will briefly shut the car down when you stab it. Any way to permanently shut off the traction control with the SCT Xcal 2?
