I have a buddy of mine with a polished KB with a Flowzilla that is willing to trade me for my S-Trim for awhile so I can see if I like the boost or not. I was thinking of doing it for a change of boost but I wanted to know if it is a good idea to go to a KB or not? I believe that my Vortech is capable of more power than the Flowzilla or am I wrong? Let me know what you guys think? I may be doing this on the weekend.

Isn’t the KB flowzilla at full boost at 2k? If so I'm investing in head gasket stocks.

It sure is. If I had any money, I would invest with you.

You should plan on a nice, flat torque curve. It's just sick. That is all I can say.

You will need a gt-40 style lower intake though. Will stock work??? I don't know.

I've had experience with both Vortech and KB cars, and the SOTP meter gives the win to the KB. My cousin has the blowzilla on his 95GT and with only 6lbs of boost on a conservative tune, he made 396rwhp with AFR heads and an FTI cam. Here's his dyno sheet... try not to drool on your screen at the torque curve!

No unfortunately. He just built a house and got married so the car has sat a lot lately. He did just get it inspected and put it back on the road. The T5 is on its way out and I know he is afraid to hurt it right now as he doesn't have the funds to replace it if it craps out on him. I've been slowly bugging him to go though. He ran it once with a pig rich, and I mean PIG RIGH tune with the stock heads, cam, and intake and it ran a 13.2 at 106-107mph. Since the dyno above he has added a ported GT40 lower and a flowzilla intake manifold... that should be worth somewhere around 40rwhp. the car screams... it had me all white knuckled as it broke loose at the top of 3rd gear when I took it for a spin... and it even has 3.55 gears in it!!! Needless to say I about crapped my pants as I totally didn't expect that.
