borla and bassani will sound the best on an fbody as well. I don't like crossflow flowmasters. I have had magnaflow, borla, spintech, flowmaster on my f-bodies. borla was my favorite. I love bassani but they are spendy but so is borla. the borla muffler was not a crossflow it was the ajustable kit. sounded awesome though. need the cats gone to really make it sound mean.
I have a spintech on my 90 Iroc right now. sounds good but has some resonance at 2300rpm that can be anoying. other people like it. had a guy flag me down the other day and ask me what exhaust I was running.
If I were doing an fbody right now I would do what they call a borla mouth. put a borla xr-1 in place of the the loudmouth resonator in a loundmouth. that is what I should have done. I did the magnaflow catback becasue it was so cheap and stainless. then ordered a stainless spintech and put it in the there as I was not happy with the sound of the magnaflow.
